For wide-screen displays in landscape orientation (default) the placement of the icons on the left/right with padding is good.
However, I have a second monitor where I have changed the display orientation by 90 degrees (portrait).
Here the horizontal space is precious and I would like to show the stack icons above/below with the corresponding padding.
IMHO, the appearance setting should be per display or space similar to yabai space settings which is currently not possible.
