Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to https://wordpress.com/themes/.
  2. Activate a theme with a dark background, such as "Sophisticated Business": https://wordpress.com/theme/sophisticated-business.
  3. Go to https://wordpress.com/posts/ and edit or create a post.
  4. Add the "Address Block".

What I expected

To see the fields of the address block, and their contents, legibly.

What happened instead

You see several white fields with seemingly no text in them.

You can click on one to add text, but as soon as you click away the text disappears again.

Seems to affect both Jetpack and WP.com sites.

cc @davidakennedy Is this something that should be addressed in Jetpack, or in the theme styles and what styles are applied to input fields in the block editor?

This issue has been marked as stale. This happened because:

  • It has been inactive in the past 6 months.
  • It hasn’t been labeled `[Pri] Blocker`, `[Pri] High`.

No further action is needed. But it's worth checking if this ticket has clear reproduction steps and it is still reproducible. Feel free to close this issue if you think it's not valid anymore — if you do, please add a brief explanation.
