What

FSE should have a revision history like pages and posts, so users can see what they have done, and can go back through revisions if they wish to revert to a previous state.

Why

I recently checked my FSE test site and noticed the header and footer had somehow reverted, losing all my work. I found it extremely difficult to find out when (and why) this happened.

I realized activity log and revisions do not exist for FSE, so there is no way to see what has been changed and when. This leads to frustration and confusion.

Activity log inclusion has already been suggested here; #57880

How

FSE editor looks to be a type of page, and it is based on blocks. So hopefully the standard revision framework can be used.

Huge +1 from me! This would be a game changing improvement to the Site Editor.
