@LC-GA I;m using this issue to open a thread for GITR-M:

What is required for GITR-M:
produce a mesh (see https://github.com/jguterl/pyGITRM/tree/dev_for_luca)
produce a background plasma (see wiki on PyGITRm: add link once found)
produce a source of particles (see https://github.com/jguterl/pyGITRM/tree/dev_for_luca)
setup inputconfig file
