HCPCS: Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System. The Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS, often pronounced by its acronym as "hick picks") is a set of health care procedure codes based on the American Medical Association's Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). Medicaid: Social health care program for families and individuals with limited resources. More info: Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS).

Medicare: Health insurance program for people age 65 or older, people under age 65 with certain disabilities, and people of all ages with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant). More info: U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

NDC: National Drug Code. Unique, three-segment number, called the National Drug Code (NDC), which serves as a universal product identifier for drugs. More info: U.S. FDA.

RxNorm: Normalized names for clinical drugs to enable linking between sources. More info: NIH/National Library of Medicine..
