EFO terms need to be assigned to prepublished studies #176
Comments
As per our discussion during the Iteration meeting, the most efficient solution to enable rapid large-scale EFO annotation (assuming a lot of copy-pasting involved) would be to download the SUBMITTED pre-published study template, add the EFOs in the template and re-upload it via the Deposition App. This would require:
If there's not a lot of copy-pasting involved (across multiple rows) then we need to find a better solution. |
Typically each study will have a different EFO, but the curator would have a list and just need to paste it in. I'm wondering how much overlap there is with this proposed process and goci #102, also #212? If we can upload different versions of the template, would this allow editing of other data and adding associations? |
The same process could most likely be used to cater for all 3 cases. |
This seems like a good solution for adding EFOs to prepublished submissions. I think you could start working on that while we discuss the bigger picture stuff (ie application of the same process to in other scenarios). Do you have all the answers you need about copy-pasting? I'm not sure I totally understood the question. |
In order to include prepublished studies into the EBI Search Index and Covid portal, they need to have an EFO term assigned to them and some infrastructure to support curators to add this information.
