The map layer titled "Mapnik" is properly titled "OSM Carto". Mapnik is the rendering engine and not the style.

In the "About" descriptions, it would also be helpful to differentiate the style sheet from the data source e.g.
OSM Carto (link: https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto) / OSM contributors

This allows users to easily find the source of the map style.

I think back when I added this layer, it was still called Mapnik on the OSM website (the alternative was Osmarender).

But it’s a good suggestion to update the name and also link the style sheet. I will implement it when I find the time.

Yes, I think you're right. There must have been two styles distinguished by renderer, and then the original mapnik stylesheet was reimplemented in CartoCSS and now there are multiple carto-based based styles, with the "standard layer" being (unofficially) "OSM Carto".
