If a blueprint was created with a recent version of the game, it probably still works. But if a blueprint was created with an old version of the game, it can be unpredictable if it will still work. With Factorio 2.0, old smelting blueprints continue to work, and many old science blueprints continue to work, but almost no train blueprints work.
The most favorited blueprints of all time tend to be old.
One feature that would help is search similar to Hot Posts on Reddit. Something like order by the number of upvotes that were received in the last X days, weeks, or months.
