Delayed action & refresh when editing groups leading to erratic behavior

Steps to reproduce the bug

• Go into groups on a phone where no groups exist.
• Create a group.
• You'll end up on an empty screen where the "No items found" text and "Create group" link are gone, but your group isn't visible.
• "Refresh" the layout (slide on another tab, relaunch the application, …)
• Group is now here.
• Remove it
• Now it displays a messy screen where both your group and the "No items found" text and "Create group" link are visible at the same time (see second screenshot)
• The link doesn't work, but the group, that we're supposed to have removed to steps before can still be clicked and entered
• Get back from the group: it's now definitely gone
• … but the "Create group" link is still not working
• Another "refresh" like the one above fixes the link.

Expected behavior

I expect to see the result of my operations immediately and not have parts of the UI broken by merging things that shouldn't be, be able to enter into gone elements or have links in the UI brokens.

Actual behavior

See STRs, splitting both would have been difficult
