Feature description

Add character count to the word count.
Maybe "iwords/chars"

Why do you want this feature?

I write in Notes first and then paste it into an app that has a character limit.

The "character count" wording is vague here. Do you expect a total number of characters of a document, or the "lines and character offset" as in this example in Vim?

Also, the character count doesn't equal byte count when a Unicode (UTF-8) text document is involved.
