to get more insight into delete operations.

- We now allow implementations to be created with a default constructor or via fluent api (Contrib @edwardmeng). We wanted to do this in 6.0 but had breaking changes and wanted to give users some time to upgrade accordingly.

- Fixed a bug where stream position wasn't respected when saving to storage.
