# 为什么要更新子模块
PX4新代码改变了很多东西，同时子模块改变也挺大的。将主代码切换到较老版本时会发生子模块版本不符合的情况，这时候需要注意，切换后需要同步下子模块

    make clean
    git checkout <whatever tag>
    git submodule update --init --recursive
    git submodule sync --recursive
    git submodule update --init --recursive #only needed in odd cases, I think
    make <whatever target>

**更新模块注意事项**

1. 一定要先check到对的版本再更新，否则是最新的子模块版本，和你要编译的版本不对应
2. 如果更新的时候出现无法递归进子模块路径，重新执行命令，知道所有子模块都更新成功
3. 开热点！！！
4. 有时候出现（-54）的错误，是因为缓存大小不够，参考[git error：error: RPC failed; curl 56 GnuTLS recv error (-54): Error in the pull function](https://blog.csdn.net/stone8761/article/details/79072148)，但是这里要注意缓存，文章中开到了200000000，可能电脑没那么大，所以少开一个0试试

**更换分支之后如何正确编译**

在更新完子模块之后，更换分支，一定要再运行

>  git submodule sync --recursive
>
> git submodule update --init --recursive

确保找到真正的模块

Thanks Melebius and derHugo. I think the problem was my compilers couldn't be found so I issued the command: **cmake -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/usr/bin/gcc** and that seemed to work. Although I am now faced wih a new set of problems. – Lawrence Amadi Jul 19 '17 at 16:01
