While it's a feature of GitHub and therefore theoretically rolls up under that approval, it's a pretty major expansion of functionality, so would feel better making sure what we should/shouldn't use it for.

  • Check with GSA GitHub admins
  • Check with Security
  • Get a verdict
  • Notify #dev

From email I sent with the subject GitHub Actions:

Given that this is a new feature on a system with an existing ATO (GitHub), TTS will operate under the assumption that use of Actions is implicitly part of that larger approval unless we hear otherwise.

Still blocked by the plan we are on, but it's no longer a Security question.

Appears that they are now available for @18F and @GSA (likely all our orgs, but haven't checked the others). Weirdly, I'm not seeing the spending limit settings. Emailed support to ask.
