All our server nodes died with :

"Elasticsearch node is of the wrong version 0.90.13, it must be 0.90.10!"

Is it really necessary to check on minor versions ?

Unfortunately yes because ElasticSearch breaks with all kinds of errors in many minor version differences when running as an embedded node.

Closing this issue because we already have a plan in mind on how to make this easier. Thanks!

@lennartkoopmann well - stop using the transport client and use the HTTP API?
