re-ran all tests against 1.6.0.rc2 on IKS 1.22, 1.23, and 1.24. All good.

used kustomize 3.2.0 to generate deployment yaml from 1.6.0.rc3, and found the deployment yaml files for iks-multi and iks-single are identical. no need to rerun the test.

v1.6 release is out and v1.6-branch is synced up with kubeflow/manifests. close this issue
