I cannot login to musescore.com even with the correct username and password:

Workaround: from a non-PortableApp installation of MuseScore 3 (3.6.2 will do), one you can log on with, find the file cred.dat (in %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore3) and move it to the PortableApp into its Data/settings folder

Thanks. Confirmed that this workaround works.

Just tested the latest build of the mentioned branch, I don't think the web-enging branch solves the problem. Still same http error message when attempt to login.

I'm having the same problem but with a non-PortableApp installation of 3.7, would this workaround still work?

Unfortunately I can confirm, no idea what's causing it. My local build does work, the artifacts from GitHub don't.
Same workaround should work

Ok, great! Which directory should I move the dat file? I’m having trouble looking for the Data/settings folder

Well, %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore3 (after having succe4ssfully logged in with 3.6.2)
IIRC I have then set it to read-only, for it to not get overwritten by 3.7
