In Ubuntu open_dialog() does not close after completing its action #680

Julia 1.8.4 REPL
Gtk v1.2.2

For example:

info_dialog("Information message")

shows the message in a window with a "Close" button.

Upon clicking the "Close" button: "The Julia Language is not responding" with "Force Quit" or "Wait" buttons.

The same thing happens with other dialogs. Other dialogs compete their action but have the same "not responding" response afterwards.
