Hi there, I wonder if anyone has one of these thermostats from AliExpress and been able to get it working with zigbee2mqtt? I have tried creating an external converter but had no joy, I am very new to this. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I have the same problem. Some time ago, I bought an identical version that was well recognized (_TZE200_viy9ihs7). This version (_TZE284_xnbkhhdr) that I bought a few days ago doesn't work...

Could you try to

- Stop Z2M
- Open `data/database.db` with a text editor and change all occurrences of `_TZE284_xnbkhhdr ` to `_TZE200_viy9ihs7 `
- Start Z2M and see if the device now works

Hi, I have a problem. The thermostat now shows up fine in home assistant, but there is no entity available for running state although it shows up in the thermostat control in the overview. Is there any way to extract the state of either idle or running to use in an automation.

Hello again, I’ve worked it out.The idle and heating are in the climate entity of the thermostat, just had to search hard to find them.
