Unbalanced materials/modifiers

From Mythic Metals (all of the following in the next section)

What changes do you recommend to materials/modifiers?

All the suggestions have in mind to be balanced around Tinket's existing stats, also trying to compensate the uniqueness stats from Mythic metals

Adamantite head

For being a tier 2 material the stats are a bit high. Since it's a common material on the underground (or at least in personal experience it has been) it could have lower stats:

  • Durability (a lower durability)
  • Harvest tier (from Netherite to Diamond)
  • Mining speed (from 7 to 3 since it's a damage trait tool, to be more cohesive)
  • Attack damage (from 4.5 to 4. Will be an alternative for the Manyullyn long term trait)
  • Material tier (from 2 to 3)

Kyber head

  • Mining speed (from 7 to 5.5-6, to compensate of being an attack tool/trait)

Kyber handle

  • Attack damage (from 1x to 1.1x to be more cohesive)
  • Durability (from 1.1x to 1x)

Carmot head

  • Durability (from 1130 to 820)

Durasteel head

  • Durability (from 820 to 1130)

Mythril head

(this actually is like a better version of Rose Gold in almost every aspect)

  • Mining speed (from 12.3 to 7.5-8.5. This would make the tool better at everything but the mining speed, compared to Rose Gold)

Orichalcum head

(to make the tool not just a better version of Durasteel and more reliant on the traits, more than the stats)

  • Durability (from 1546 to 750-900)

Orichalcum handle

  • Durability (from 1.3x to 0.9x-1.1x)

Orichalcum trait

  • Make it so the reinforced upgrade can't be used when this material is present on a tool (an indestructible tool can be made with Reinforced III = 60% less damage, and one piece of Orichalcum = max 50% less damage)

Palladium head

  • Mining speed (from 8 to 6.5-7)

Palladium handle

  • Mining speed (from 1x to 1.1x)

Runite head

  • Attack damage (from 4.2 to 2-3, to compensate the trait)

Stormyx head

  • Attack damage (from 3.5 to 3)
  • Mining speed (from 7.5 to 7)

Stormyx handle

  • Attack speed (from 1x to 1.1x-1.2x)
  • Durability (from 1.1x to 1x)

Celestium head

  • Attack damage (from 6 to 4-5)
    • Possible change for more balance: from 6 to 3, preventing players to go with this material just for this stat and not other ones with high damage potential

Celestium handle

  • Attack damage (from 1.2x to 0.9x-0.85x)
  • Attack speed (from 1.3x to 1.1x-1.2x)

Hallowed head

  • Attack damage (from 4 to 3.25-3.5, making it a balanced alternative to Mannyulyn)

Metallurgium head

  • Mining speed (from 15 to 10)
    • Possible change for more balance: from 15 to 7, preventing players to go with this material just for this stat and not other ones with high mining speed

Metallurgium handle

  • Mining speed (from 1.2x to 0.9x-0.85x)

Though maybe changing the Mythril trait altogether would be a better choice instead of changing stats.

Prometheum's trait is Regrowth (slow, passive durability regeneration), not Solid (based on the comment).
Solid is Orichalcum's trait.

And durability reducing modifiers are multiplicative (so 50% reduction from Solid and 50% reduction from Reinforced would only provide 75% damage reduction)

Regarding Adamantite:
It can mine Netherite-tier blocks in Mythic Metals (though if the material is common, then the material might be overtuned)
Notice that the Adamantite Pickaxe is effective against Unobtainium blocks (Netherite tier).
Maybe the nerf to Adamantite should be suggested to Mythic Metals repository as well?

Edited the Prometheum suggestion part to Orichalcum (no idea what happened there)

The actual Mythril trait I personally like it because it's like a different version of Rose Gold, but since now it's a better version in almost every aspect, I'm literally changing all the rose gold parts (but the handles) to Mythril on the game. If there's a way to balance it as a way to be an alternative to Rose Gold, would be perfect. But if another trait needs to be implemented, I'm also okay with that. I would need to think what could be implemented in the material.

Didn't knew about the durability reducing modifiers, thought it stacked up. A comment on the game regarding that could be implemented on the trait page (so the players don't think it stacks)

And I'll see if I can suggest the Adamantite change on the repository. I didn't changed the world generation (is as it came from the mod download page) and I have stacks of it + the ores I didn't mine because I had more than expected
