Velocity on completely overlaying notes

When two notes overlay, there's no way to change their velocity separately.

• If they have the same velocity, their velocity sliders are merged into one and I can only control both velocities at once.
• If they have different velocity, the velocity slider gets separeted like this:
  
  However, clicking the points merges the sliders again.

The only way around it that I found is temporarily moving the desired note, but that can be very chaotic when the project has a lot of overlaying notes.

Its just a congested control area. The selection tool will allow you to control them more granularily, but I often move them over as you have described as it often is quicker.

The selection tool has some limitations i.e #446, #879 as well which make its usage non-ideal in some instances, but we already have some enhancement requests to address those.

Untrue. Select the note you want to change, so that it turns blue, then
when you change the volume, only the selected note will change.
