I don't understand why Paul re-created his version of manx after he took it offline and we recreated it from scratch; it really would be better if he just contributed to this database. sigh. At any rate, I'll add those links.

Who knows why it went and stayed offline for a while - time constraints often limit us - and personal and work views sometimes shape attitudes.

[I worked during times when people shared via publications, which staff photocopied and others typed onto media and built into systems, at user conferences where software was shared if you brought a tape, and via local user groups with similar outlooks.
Some may still have more proprietary views about information, articles, and possession.]

If I did more on old stuff as I did maybe a decade or two ago I might be interested in adding but not now - interests now are less in hardware and more in archiving and dissemination. and compatible software terminal emulation capabilities, like stuff supported by packages on e.g. https://invisible-island.net/.

Well, he took it offline because he said he was discontinuing it. That's when I got a snapshot of the code from him and I recreated it as an open source php application. What's unclear is why he resurrected it instead of collaborating. I've offered to have him join the recreated project but he doesn't seem interested. People are funny!
