Recently, something weird has been happening with one of the elasticsearch tests, specifically how it actually interacts with client in async mode, however the failure is not always triggered and can often be fixed by re-running. Probably need to investigate timeouts/delays to make sure the server is accessible before running the tests.

#1686 partially closes this, by skipping the offending test when it fails... This is not ideal but I cannot replicate and cannot spend very long on this.
