MiKTeX-console: api2.miktex.org not found

For some reason I am not anymore able to install packages from the MiKTeX console. When I try I get the message:

A connection to api2.miktex.org could not be established.

Details:

The solutions given on https://miktex.org/kb/fix-couldnt-connect
are inadequate: I make sure I am loged in beforehand.
Furthermore "https://api2.miktex.org/ cannot be reached if I try by hand

I solved this problem by switching to an other repository:
mirror.ox.ac.uk
