initexmf on MacOs (Monterey)

I do not understand how to run initexmf in MacOs (Monterey).

I get

maurizio@IMACDIMAURIZIO bin % initexmf
zsh: command not found: initexmf

but initexmf seems to be in bin

I am very new to MacOs and I always used MikTeX on Win with very few problems.
