Q1 2025: Requests for updates to Herbarium Workflow Guides #128
Comments
Update guide based on following ticket: #124 details how to deal with loco ignoto vel cult specimens |
Last Q, we discussed the idea of creating quick guides in addition to the long guides. |
Add emptying of trashcan on the imaging computers, when they are full they can take up a lot of space, so we should empty them regularly, maybe once a week? Or just every day so it is easier to incorporate into our workflow. |
Incorporate #160 |
Do we have short checklists for this yet, and are they printed out and placed at both Herbarium stations? |
I don't believe we do, but it is a good idea :) |
The guides have been updated and the new versions placed here: N:\SCI-SNM-DigitalCollections\DaSSCo\Workflows and workstations\Herbarium sheets\Production\Guides\Master Once they are printed and distributed to the workstations (and the quick checklist has been made) this issue can be closed. |
The new guides have been placed at both Herbarium workstations now. The only thing missing now is the quick barcoding checklist. |
PLEASE NO MORE ADDITIONS TO THIS TICKET
further additions can be added to the next ticket for Q2 2025: #175
Please add requests for updates to the digitisation guides and workflows to this ticket.
These will be addressed and prioritised on a quarterly basis.
Next review will be in December 2024 / early January 2025 for implementation of agreed updates starting in January 2025.
Discussed at digitizer meeting 10.12.2024.
The following updates were decided:
Once these updates are incorporated and the updated versions of the guides distributed, this ticket can be closed.
Additionally it was decided that a shorter, more concise guide would be good for everyday use,
I created a separate ticket for this: #174
