Nativescript 8 - postclone: "path" argument null

Hi,
I was attempting to create a new Nativescript 8 plugin using this plugin seed. However, I get this error:

The "path" argument must be of type string. Received null

I'm on Ubuntu 20.04.

Is this the right plugin seed to use?

Following the stack I get:

I am getting the following output instead:

Creating 'TypeScript' application from latest published template...
No matching version found for tns-template-blank-ts@^8.0.0.

Seems that this has not been updated for 8.0 yet (which is a pity).
