How do I setup this camera?

Played with settings a lot, but could not get anything but a white screen.

Hi bodqhrohro,

the camera is a UVC device and should work with my app.
To set up the camera you can run the automatic setup method and if the app doesn't crash, you can try to proceed with the testrun, to receive the frames from the camera.

In relation it would also make sense, if you test a thrird party app, to see if you can get your cam running. --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shenyaocn.android.usbcamera

If the auto method doesn't work, try out the manual setup and post the values you have choosen.

If a 3rd party app also isn't working, there could be problems with the cable, or hub, or the phone. Try out another phone or tablet and test it again.

Perhaps post a video, when you set up and test your camera.

Not working on another phone as well. Automatic method does not work on both, that's why I attempted fiddling with manual settings in the first place.

USB Camera works there with no tuning (even though it completely froze the app on the first attempt).

MaxPacketSize: 3000
Packets per Request: 1 or 32
Usb Request Blocks: 1 or 32
Camera Format: YUV2 (but seems like USB Camera uses MJPEG? which is not accesible in UVC Camera. But UNCOMPRESS works in USB Camera too)
Frame Format: 640x480 or 320x240
Frame Interval: 14 or 5

Any of combination yield nothing but an empty screen.

I also attempted to edit ALT_SETTING to 0, 1, 2 or 10, with no outcomes.

Your camera supports only one altsetting = 1 --> 3000 bytes, so only use this one.
The camera format should be YUY2.

Try out to set:
Packets per Request: 2 or 4
Usb Request Blocks: 2 or 4

Make a testrun in the app and look if you receive bytes from the cam. Is the testrun button working, or is there a crash on the app? (attach a screen shot)
