Concept: 'Make Qubes VMs as easy to shut down as they are to start'

  • Checkbox option in VM settings to have (non-disposable) VM shutdown automatically when the last window from that VM is closed. Would also automatically Kill a VM if it hadn't shutdown within a given timeframe.
  • Similar checkbox to have netvms and proxyvms shutdown automatically when the number of dependant VMs drops to zero.
  • Window frame widget allowing user to shutdown appVM from the app window they are currently working in, rather than having to summon the Manager window.
