There is a hang we found when upgrading from 0.19 to 0.20. It is very non-obvious as we passed all our normal production tests for 24+ hours but found this in the TEST environment with a certain use case.

We have not yet identified the cause but this has held up adoption of 0.20 in the Netflix API. This in turn holds up 1.0 from being considered production worthy.

This may be fixed in #1712

Keeping this open until confirmed with 1.0.0-rc.4
