Hi, thanks for checking out BYOB! Unfortunately, the server isn't able to get access to private repositories in the badge requests, so badges fully in private repositories are not possible at the moment. It is possible to have BYOB commit to another repository and have your private repositories get the badges from there, but the badges are still public.
In the near future, I will likely be looking into a proper solution for private repositories because it would be a great thing to have available.
@RubbaBoy Apologies for resurrecting this thread, but I’m struggling to understand how to commit the badges to another repository. Would it be possible to update the documentation with a minimum working example of this configuration? Specifically, I’m unclear on this step:
“Finally, follow the steps above to obtain your URL but replace the orgName/repo part with your public repo”
Also, would this work on a public repository to host the badges in the same repo? Thanks!
Hello,
Thanks for this amazing app.
When using it on private repositories, the badges do not appear. What shall I do so that the badges also work on private repositories?
Thank you
