I interacted with the UI and search engine of next-gen-seer. I have some thoughts.

Things I really like -

  • It is so fast to navigate around! I love it
  • For the new ACL papers (year > 2000) the extraction is really good.
  • Looks very cool with Dark Reader 😉

Here is my raw feedback -

Major -

Minor -

  • Just get rid of Cited by 0 (0 self-citations) - show only if there are actual citations
  • Author font/color should be different
  • If there are more than 4 authors - do something like this - J. Chhay, S. Keesara +7 authors K. Kuo: looks cleaner
  • Reduce font size overall and shift everything up on the SERP
  • SERP shows less than 10 results on some pages - IDK why this is happening

Feature Request -

  • We have to find a way to show the full text on the paper summary page - for Example link to example - these guys use tabs to show the paper. We have full text we should show it as we are ranking our results on that basis. Also, this will help us get a better rank in Google search.
  • Ability to see abstract in SERP of the paper: paper result card expands and shows the abstract
  • Author pages: just group articles by author-name - disambiguation will be a challenge
  • Add citations of the paper in Table of contents on paper summary page: Papers which cite the paper in focus
  • Social Media sharing array on the paper summary page

Overall good work team ! 👍 💯 🥇
