After just upgrading Cyanogenmod to latest version (from security patch level April to August), the Google Calendar widget stopped showing any offline events. Same thing inside the app, and with every other app I've tried except aCalendar, which has always been my main calendar app, and the ics export.
Not sure if this is even a bug in offline-calendar or the other apps, but it seems to be related to the Android upgrade.
