I use Spacemacs started learning git so I added the git layer and amazing things were enabled 😄 . Cutting it short, quiting a magit status buffer transient keybinding state makes frame have this:
Screenshot of Emacs frame with 'fake modeline'

There's a fake modeline on the left that came as a result of quitting a magit transient state. I don't get the issue when my dotspacemacs-mode-line-theme is set to doom. However, I love spaceline 🙃

That's unfortunate but it looks more like an Emacs rendering bug than a Spaceline problem.

It's fine to keep this open though.

I just realised that what get's left behind in this rendering issue is the difference between the height of a vanilla modeline and the spaceline theme. Moreover observe this:

The two windows have modelines of varying height (you can see my current config on the left window)

the modeline height of the file-visiting buffer seems to get adjusted when I visit the file (I would like to believe this is due to some hook which sets the height according to the value of :powerline-scale; It is by default 1.5)

setting :separator-scale to 1.3 gives me a smooth modeline and the bug is resolved
