Using the exact example from the README. Almost immediately after running

(put! done-channel message)

The same message shows back up with the {ApproximateReceiveCount=8 increasing.)

I'd be happy to help you, put can you provide a bit more context? If you see the number increasing then it had an issue somewhere in reading or ack'ing.
