Copy from Attendance, then pasting doesn't show attendance button state

I like to keep meeting notes in Obsidian, then copy / paste into email. The Attendees show, but their status does not (it has all three symbols w/o any highlighting). Exporting to PDF results in "Present", "Absent", "Late", &c. as text, not as symbols.

Is there a workaround?

It was a deliberate choice to show the status as text and not as symbols in the PDF. But I would be open to making this configurable if you or someone else wants to contribute.

As for copy-pasting, I don't think the highlighting can be copy pasted, so there is not much we can do, unfortunately.
