Dieser Pāda von AVŚ und <ref target="#AVP">AVP</ref> beruht auf
<ref target="#RV">RV</ref> 10.85.27d: ádhā jívrī vidátham ā́
vadāthaḥ. Der AV-Archetypus hat hier unternommen, jívrī ...
vadāthaḥ im <ref target="#RV">RV</ref> durch das singularische
jírvir vidátham ā́ vadāsi zu ersetzen (vgl. athā jīvrī vidatham
ā vadāsi in ĀpMP 1.9.4d und JaiGS 1.22d). Ob bei jírvir
gegenüber jívri- (<ref target="#RV">RV</ref>) etwas
Altertümliches vorliegt (so Pinault apud EWAia I, 590), ist
nicht sicher zu ermitteln, weil es nicht ausgeschlossen ist, die
Lautreihenfolge °rvi- rvi° in jírvir vidátham aus °vri-rvi°
assimiliert worden sein könnte. Auffällig ist das gedehnte jī°,
das sowohl in den AVŚ- als auch in den <ref target="#AVP"
>AVP</ref>-Mss. und auch in ĀpMP und JaiGS vorkommt
