Configuration path do not work

i have the same issue. i worked around it by setting pref_key_config_path to "/sdcard/Android/data/org.poirsouille.tinc_gui" in
/data/data/org.poirsouille.tinc_gui/shared_prefs/org.poirsouille.tinc_gui_preferences.xml

once that was set the filechooser works again. it probably needs root permissions to enumerate /. i noticed a couple other apps that needed root to do that.

I came here to report the same problem.
Thank you @haxwithaxe for the workaround.
Also wanted to say I do have root and granted the Tinc app root access and it was still broken for me.
