Is it possible to have YouPHPTube upload file from local (given absolute path) and/or remote url upload (direct link to video file). If this feature is not yet available, I would like to suggest it.

UPDATE:

  • I found the download video option but it does not support direct video url
  • I found bulk upload from local files, but does not support absolute path

Hi,

Bulk encode you can use to scan an absolute path, then you will choose the video you want to submit from a list

Check this https://github.com/DanielnetoDotCom/YouPHPTube/wiki/Import-a-Full-playlist-from-Youtube

Looks like Bulk Encode not working for me. Probably because I use nginx instead of Apache and I use Issue #25 solution

Is it possible to import mounted directory via sshfs from another storage-server to YouPHPTube ?
Similar to scan of files from directory, what works fine on many popular streamers like Ampache, Madsonic, Emby, etc.

I tried this once, I feel like the system slow down.

I do not recommend.

If you want to store your videos file in an external storage, try to use S3 or B2
