The official title is TBD, but the goal of this article is to provide a comprehensive guide on creating an effective readme file for plugins hosted in the WordPress.org Plugins repository. Crafting a well-written readme is both an art and a skill, with many factors to consider. A definitive guide like this will serve as a valuable resource for both aspiring plugin developers and seasoned pros.
Thanks for the mention, @bph. I'd be happy to take the topic on.
Over the past couple of weeks I've been deep diving into writing plugins for submission to WP.org.
Actually working on one now, which would be a good example for a simple README.
Have bandwidth, if you want to assign the topic to me.
Thank you! I already started on it a bit, but don't have the version of Google Workspace that supports code blocks.
If it would be possible to share a post draft from the WP.org Workspace (or however it's managed with code blocks allowed), I'll get started working on the draft.
