The shift after the Lich is cool and very unexpected. BUT it creates an issue with gold farming. If a player just manages to squeek by to get to that point, it will be really rough post lich since you can't go back to farm gold for potions or wizard upgrades. It might also bug players in that I assume that also makes drops missable.
A possible idea for a fix might be to have some kind 'dream' area or something, where the player remembers things it fought in the past. Maybe two sections, an easier one with the first half of the enemies and then one with the second half enemies. That way players could get any drops they might have missed and have a super easy area in case they somehow managed to get way farther than they should have. May be lots of extra work. :(

Hm I tried to make the sewer and the sea about the same difficulty as the end of the castle to prevent something like this, might need to nerf them a little to accommodate
Or at least one of them. The sea seemed harder (plus you have to manage to fish first) So, I would suggest the sewer if you just want to do a nerf. I managed the first area okay, but it was something I thought about. Or maybe add an even easier first part to the sewer. Eh, I don't know, just trying to throw out ideas to help you out. :P
I like the idea of adding an easier starting level in the sewer but thatll have to wait. For now i nerfed the mobs in the first sewer level to be a bit easier than the castle
