Missing events if logged in zmNinja with non admin user #568

I noticed this problem also with old version of zmNinja. |
If you go to the Montage screen and click on the 'eye' icon at top, are Camera 1 and Camera 2 disabled when this happens? |
No, they are enabled. |
is there any chance I can get access to this restricted account for a few days? I can't replicate it. If it is possible, please send me portal URL and credentials via email to pliablepixels @ gmail (Please don't post here). |
Can you please, in detail, explain exactly how to replicate this with two accounts? I've created a test account with restrictions. How do I go about re-creating this error exactly - does it happen every time you switch from admin to restricted, for example? Again, the help I need is a 100% reproducible scenario that you can explain in your system. I'll try it in mine. I tried switching from admin to test and still see the monitors I am allowed to see in my system, so I want to make sure I am following your steps. Please don't describe at a high level - all steps/details please. Thank you. |
In my case everything is really simple to replicate. I created in Zoneminder a restricted account named user as described in the first comment. If in zmNinja on my Android phone I'm logged in with this restricted account then in the "Events List" I'm not able to see the events from all my cameras but only from one of them. In the filters instead I'm able to see all of them. If you need some particular info let me know. I'll send you some screenshots from email. |
Ok. This is not happening to me - screenshots really won't help. I've made some changes to the code which are more related to how reloading happens. Not sure if it will help in your case. I'd like you to test the new version - but in desktop not mobile. Which desktop port can I provide ? win64/linux64/etc What I will need is detailed zmNinja logs (all of it) - I'll post instructions on how to extract the logs I need after you let me know the desktop version you can test. |
This is strange. Please provide me the win64 version. |

(Note that the above steps are to reduce the amount of logs so I can zero in better. Please don't go to any other screens) thx |
I have just sent the log at your email address. |
My apologies, I sent you a version that was not recording logs correctly. Can you please repeat the steps with this version. You should see more logs generated https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TycNarB2LKRazIQJkcdXRzTVxIqTBg6P |
Just sent you the new log, sorry for the long delay. |

I have three cameras and in Zoneminder other then the admin I created an user with limited abilities, if I try to use this user in zmNinja I have a problem, when I enter in the event menu I can only see the events from one camera but with the filters I can see the events from all the cameras. Instead using the admin I haven't any problem.
Here how the user is configured (anyway I also tried configuring the user as the admin with the same result):
Language: default
Enabled: Yes
Stream: View
Events: View
Control: View
Monitors: View
Groups: None
System: None
Bandwidth:
Monitor: CAMERA_1, CAMERA_2, CAMERA_3
