Update checker - Linux AppImage

The program on linux needs the ability to at least poll the GitHub if there is a new app image to download. I am cool with a manual style checker with a drop down menu or under the 'help' drop down. Its rather painful to manually check for updates on GitHub.

Ah just so I can clear, its only a notice. It does not do any form of auto updating.
