ZMNinja stops working after a random period of time

The version of zmNinja you are reporting:

1.4.005 (ios)

The version and OS of ZoneMinder you are using:

Debian Buster running in a LXD container 
1.34.8

Platform zmNinja is running on

IPhone 6
IOS 12.4.6

Describe the bug

After a while of working perfectly fine (days or weeks), zmNinja will open and display "Loading Monitors" for about 10 seconds over a background screen which says "If this screen doesn't go away after a while, it is possible your APIs are not configured properly". I do see the message "Zoneminder Authentication Successful" at the top.
Once the popup box disappears, I'm able to access the menu by swiping right but most of the options bring up the "loading monitors" box and begins the cycle again.
I'm not able to access the following but get the same popup box again:

1. Montgage
2. Timeline
3. Events List
4. 24hr Review
5. Monitors

I'm able to access "System Status" and get valid information there.

I've tried clearing the API cache with no luck along with recreating the profile in "Settings".
The only thing that works is to delete the app from the phone and reinstall it. Then it works again for a period of time but then has the same problem.
