The device you inserted does not contain Chrome OS. #179

Press Ctrl + D go into dev mode then try again you will get an error bc schools block this mode but its fine. So to recap Ctrl + D then Enter to confirm then Esc + Refresh + Power. |

Press power + refresh then once loaded click tab then can you send me a picture of your screen? |
IF none of the baisic troublshooting steps work just re-flash it with crome recovery utility and start troubleshooting from there |
On some Chromebooks, doing the trick won't work. So before the screen even shows up after using Ctrl + D, press Power + Refresh + Esc. This solved my problem when my Chromebook didn't detect the shim. |
I don't know if I did something wrong but I flashed the .bin to belena etcher on a Linux computer and the chromebook did not get it
