Currently:
You are on a Partner Site
You donate to a project via the Partner Site project page
You complete the donation process
You end up on core RSR
You cannot easily navigate back to the Partner Site without modifying the URL directly

This video shows the current workflow and URLs showing the beginning and end point in the process:
Screengrab

Intended functionality:
You are on a Partner Site
You donate to a project via the Partner Site project page
You complete the donation process
You end up back on the Partner Site project page you came from

Paul:
Adrian, we were talking about the return URL that donations come back to from partner site donations. In fact, as soon as you hit the Donate button you're on vanilla RSR. Is the intention also that donations will occur entirely within partner sites?
[18/9/12 18:14:44 PM] Adrian Collier: I think this is potentially to be decided. I don't think it's a "problem", but maybe in light of larger changes we might want to consider a change. We could maybe even think about really modularising this and having donations.akvo.org (or something equally obscure :) ) which could remain static going forward.
[18/9/12 18:15:27 PM] Adrian Collier: But for the short term, as long as the final redirect is good, then this will "last" for now - I don't think it's worth putting a large effort into this now.
If possible, this should be a quick fix and not distract from the other more important things we are working on right now.

akvo.rsr.views.donate view function should capture and pass on HTTP Referer as a return point.
