I'd like to use AppMenuBoy for a folder other than /Applications, specifically
/Applications/Utilities.
I'm already (relatively) happy with my folder of /App aliases which eliminates
many Apps I don't use
that often - Photo Booth!?, but I do use an alias of the Utilities folder in my
dock. I wondered how
hard it would be to alter AppMenuBoy to display a different folder of Apps?
Drag that folder to your
dock icon to re-index for that folder? Or select a different folder in
Preferences? Sorry for
submitting this feature request under Issues.

First off, thanks so much for writing AppMenuBoy. I too mised this feature in
10.5.

However, i made myself an /ApplicationTree folder that has symlinks and a
hierchy to
all the apps i want to use in /Applications. I'd love to select which directory
AppMenuBoy uses (as does the user before me). Thanks.

Third vote. I install applications in /Local/Applications, so I can keep the
applications *I* install synced between my laptop and desktop more easily, and
in
~/Applications, for applications that I don't think are ready for the rest of my
family to deal with. I currently use HierarchicalDock for this but I find the
way
it's implemented annoying... it's actually re-run every time you click on it, so
there's a noticeable delay before the menu comes up.
