It would be great if the background color could be made dark, or customized in different ways. Artists might want to edit the background color with absurd colors...

Since the graph background colour matches the system light/dark scheme, I'm not sure there's a real need for this.

Also, an arbitrary background colour could lead to poor contrast with some of the line colours.

I currently see Plots as more of an educational tool for exploring mathematics, rather than a graphical or artistic tool.

I have color vision deficiency and use dark mode in GNOME. Black background makes it hard for me to see the the colors of small UI elements. Most of the time this is a non-issue, because the UI elements are big enough for me to see their color. In the case that the UI elements are too small, I manually select a light theme.

The white grid on a black background and tiny lines of the graphs make it very hard for me to differentiate between different graphs. Making the lines thicker did not help either. If there was a setting to at least use the system light theme this would be immensely helpful to me.

Edit: The Graphs App does not have a light mode either, but the muted grid lines make it much easier to see the lines.
