Thought it would be good to start a discussion about what page templates the prototype kit could include. For example, this question template seems really useful.

Most of the other templates I can think of are already in examples, so we might want to also discuss if it's worth having them as templates as well/instead.

@sanjaypoyzer this doesn't seem to have attracted suggestions - do you think we could gather this info elsewhere, then record here, or as separate issues? I agree with the gist of this - gathering user needs for page templates in the kit.

Yeah, if there's any other way to collect suggestions we could do that. I'll throw it into Slack and see if gets any more love.

you could try the digital service design mailing list too

There seems to be some interest in the DWP dashboard recently – as various people, including myself, asked for it in the past weeks. Not though sure if this justifies to make it a template just yet.

(But if so, it needs quite some cleanup as the mobile version breaks in the current version. For our version, for the Registers Design Authority, we made some changes and fixed that.)

interesting example, as I'd say it's not useful for a prototype, but there is need for it more widely

Okay, here is a thing I need as a reusable component: An accordion. Although not popular when it comes to accessibility, there are some applications within GOV.UK and I’d probably have to use one now, too. Any chance you might add that? Or is it already in and I overlooked it?

@martin-jordan I don't think we have an agreed accordion pattern yet. Showing the need for one and gathering research on a good pattern would be the next steps.

@martin-jordan Oof, controversial!

There is a view that accordions are generally a sign of bad information architecture. I'm not sure I'm fully in that camp, but I think it's definitely something to be wary of.

In any case, that's probably a discussion for the elements repo.

I know, Sanjay! :/

After Louise just highlighted this accordion in here services programme update, I thought it might be worth a try :) https://www.gov.uk/service-manual/agile-delivery

Also, am happy to show you my little challenge – maybe you have a better idea how to avoid even using an accordion.
