I would like to discuss ansible/ansible/pull/47980, which is a new module called scap_facts written by @defionscode.

This is a "hybrid" module in that it scans a system and sets facts based on the results of that scan, but it can optionally fail if the specified pass/fail threshold is not met.

This is not purely a facts module in the traditional sense. I'm wondering if this could be the start of a new class of "audit" modules and would like input on the concept and would like input from other Core team members.

I would like to discuss ansible/ansible#48150. Currently when DEFAULT_LOG_PATH is set, the log file will contains log entries with the DEBUG level. This PR changes the default to only log INFO unless DEFAULT_DEBUG is set.

Unfortunately I may not be able to make the meeting, may be there at the end but that's not guaranteed.

Both PRs need additional review from core members so the code can be merged. Issue 33984 completes the removal of dopy external dependency in the Digital Ocean modules. This also allows for #47272 to be merged for deprecation of the existing digital_ocean module.

On Thursday 29th November we will be running an all-day PR review session in #ansible-community. If you have any time to join (or just idle) that would be very welcome.

This is a multi-pronged approach

• To give potential new community members a place to learn and experiment with Ansible's review process and get feedback
• Improve the process and documentation by getting feedback, especially from new contributors
• Give PRs some love
• Reduce the backlog
