One can't connect simultaneoulsy locally and remotely like with most/all other libpurple plugins. I leave my desktop PC (number-crunching) on so when I was at a meeting and tried to connect remotely to my BitlBee server, I got a message tdlib-purple can't open some file/log already open. BitlBee (one of the main libpurple clients) also runs at a server to let you connect remotely so this should be fixed so you can have multiple instances.
